Apple Harvest Festival
I meant to post this two weekends ago. Oops!
I recently went to the annual Ithaca Apple Harvest Festival with some friends. Though the weather that day was pretty dreary, the festival was fun, crowded, and had a delicious selection of food. The apple cider donuts were so good! There were also a lot of vendors selling art, crafts, and jewelry. Ithaca is full of talented people =) I actually met another Etsy seller, KarensMonsters, who is really nice and makes cute plush toys. Here are two of my favorites from her shop:

In the works
Some custom orders cut and ready to be sewn. I'll admit that cutting out pieces of fabric is probably my least favorite part of making plushies. Maybe I'm just too impatient.
Summer's quickly coming to an end! That's pretty scary. There's so much I want to get done before school starts again. I am going to be a pillow making machine this week.
I made fabric labels using a simple process described in this post by thefunkyfelter, only with regular transfer paper instead of dark t-shirt transfer paper. I'm pretty happy with the way they turned out. They make my pillows and plushies look more professional =)

Finally
Almost done! I just need to finish sewing her closed. Tess is a character that's been in my head since the very beginning of the Sugar Posse, I just never had the right materials to make her into a pillow. She turned out a little more cow-like than I intended. It might be the combination of her horns and her markings, but I'm not sure. She's still cute, though, and I'm so happy I was finally able to make her =)

New business cards =)
I was printing my own business cards for a while, until I came across an awesome 90% off deal for Vistaprint. I paid for 14 day shipping, but the cards came in 7 days, so I probably could have just paid for 21 day shipping or something. Oh well. Yay for saving time, paper, and ink! Now I have tons of pretty business cards to give away.
